The subway has 3 carriages (originally) with a length of 61.5m. The 6-car train (in the future) is 121.5m. Train with passengers is about 900. Maximum design speed is at 110km /h (overhead section), 80km /h (tunnel section)
The train connects from Ben Thanh market (District 1) to Suoi Tien (Thu Duc), go through Districts 1, 2, 9, Binh Thanh, Thu Duc (Ho Chi Minh City) and Di An (Binh Duong). There are 14 stations, including 11 elevated stations, 3 underground and Depot stations are located in District 9.
