The head of the Taiwan Tourism Agency, Truong Chi Thong, said that the government is preparing plans to welcome international visitors as early as the third quarter. Accordingly, travel restrictions can be lifted. The quarantine period is shortened and guests must meet certain vaccination requirements.
Taiwan is also discussing the option to open the border with official visitors from March. The decision to lift the ban on entry for tour groups, self-sufficient guests first, or both is still being weighed by island authorities. remind.

The head of the Epidemiological Command Center (CECC), Tran Thoi Trung, said he would prioritize opening borders with international visitors, instead of allowing people to travel abroad. This helps the island increase its foreign exchange reserves despite the risk of an outbreak. However, he thinks international tours are likely to resume if the island establishes new tourist bubbles.
Travel experts believe that Taiwan can lift the ban on international tours from June, but medical experts predict by the end of the year.
