After that, the locality will check, evaluate and allow expansion to welcome guests from other countries that have completed vaccination against Covid-19.

"The locality will review and select tourism facilities that ensure conditions, build a closed process of receiving and serving international tourists, and submit it to the competent authorities for consideration, assessment and recognition," said Trung. to speak.

At the same time, Kien Giang province proposed to be vaccinated against Covid-19 for all Phu Quoc people. In which, the estimated vaccine demand in 2021 is 220,000 doses. The time to implement the plan is expected in 16-18 weeks as soon as the vaccine is available.

Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen said that the gradual recovery of tourism activities in Phu Quoc will contribute to the budget and resources to both fight the epidemic and develop society.

Phu Quoc is the first island city in Vietnam, with an area of 575 square kilometers, nearly 180,000 people. Phu Quoc tourism has developed into a spearhead economic sector of Kien Giang province, accounting for 80% of the province's budget revenue.
