Ma Pi Leng conquered by motorcycle

Ma Pi Leng Pass is one of the most rugged and beautiful mountain passes of the north Vietnam. Therefore this pass is like the Great Wall of Vietnam or the Pyramid of the H’mong People. An ideal destination to experience by motorcycling.

Mã Pì Lèng is located in Hà Giang Province, with a length of about 20 km. It’s on Mã Pí Lèng mountain altitude of 1,200 m, connected Đồng Văn and Mèo Vạc District. This pass is known for winding roads, looking like a snake is crawling from mountains to mountains. Doing motorbike tours on this pass will give us a spectacular view of nature.

In local langgue of H’mong People, Ma Pi Leng is “horse muzzle” literally. But figuratively, this name describes craggy peaks, the horse might die to go over, or steep mountain as horse’s nose.

The road on Ma Pi Leng mountain pass called the road of Happiness, built by thousands of youth of 16 ethnic groups come from 8 provinces in northern Vietnam from 1959 – 1965. At the passageway, the labor had to hang on with a rope between the rocks for construction during the 11 months Since 2009, Ma Pi Leng mountain region has been recognized as a monument national scenic.

Accordingly, Ma Pi Leng Pass is considered unique heritage area of geology and landscape; The pass is one of the the most beautiful panoramic viewpoint in Vietnam. The canyon, with Nho Que river, is a unique creation in Vietnam. Ma Pi Leng Pass is definitely a destination not to be missed for motorbiking lovers.
