On the afternoon of December 17, representatives of the Departments of Tourism, Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism in localities including Hanoi, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Hoa Binh, Son La, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Ha Giang and Dien Bien have signed a cooperation agreement to develop safe tourism in the new normal.
Accordingly, the parties will jointly develop a common support policy, specifically simplifying procedures, publicizing safe destinations, and meeting safety standards for businesses to welcome guests. In addition, localities will create favorable conditions for tourism businesses to pick up and drop off guests in the region, ensuring "2 destinations, 1 journey through". An identity will be developed for eligible tour operators.

At the signing ceremony, Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism, Dang Huong Giang, proposed in 2022 that localities focus on the domestic market and gradually attract tourists in Southeast Asia and South Korea. , Japan, then North America, Europe. Sharing opinions on the process of welcoming guests together, Mr. Tran Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province, suggested that localities follow the guidance No. 3862 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as decision 4800 of the Ministry of Health.
