The Travel magazine has just selected 10 places in Asia that must be visited once in a lifetime, in which Ha Long Bay ranks second.
According to The Travel, Asia is a densely populated, culturally diverse continent and home to many of the world's oldest civilizations. The magazine honors 10 must-visit places in a lifetime on this continent, after an effort to narrow down the options to find the most worthy ones.
Ha Long Bay ranked 2nd in the list. This is the pride of Vietnam when it is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Ha Long Bay has about 3,000 large and small limestone islands with all shapes scattered, creating a spectacular and different scene from the rest of the world. Mount Fuji tops the list. This is Japan's iconic volcano due to its near-perfect proportions, which is said to be still smoldering. Fuji is also one of the three holy mountains of Japan. Shinjuku Gyoen National Park in Tokyo is another Japanese site that appears on the list. The site was completed in 1772, but the current version popular with the public was re-established in 1906.
