According to Mr. Chinh, recently the TAB has also issued a petition to the Prime Minister on reopening.

In its petition, the TAB proposed, for safe opening, Vietnam should have passport policies for Immunization; Check Covid before flight and check on arrival.
The government should also have a policy of compulsory travel health insurance, which includes Covid-19 insurance for all international tourists to Vietnam (inbound) and Vietnamese tourists traveling abroad (outbound).
Accordingly, Covid-19 insurance is intended to ensure the interests and safety of travelers, travel agencies and local authorities in the event of tour cancellation or delay, as well as inspection, treatment, and evacuation. medical and repatriation ...
To do this, the TAB recommends that the Ministry of Finance allow insurance enterprises in Vietnam to research and sell travel insurance products about Covid-19 epidemics such as in other cases of epidemics as prescribed by law.
Mr. Chinh emphasized that the opening of the door must be careful, have a roadmap, be done step by step and ensure safety, if there is not enough capacity, the door should not be opened.
"From October onwards is the season of international tourism, we can pilot opening from July and expanding from October. Initially, we can welcome visitors in near markets - places where they already are. the epidemic can be basically controlled. The tourism industry must coordinate with other industries such as security, health ... to build a safe welcoming process, "said Mr. Chinh.
This expert also said that in order for tourism to recover as before the Covid-19 pandemic, it must depend on disease developments. However, it is not until at least between 2022 and early 2023 that hope for tourism flourishes.
