The first world cultural heritage of Vietnam recognized by UNESCO was the complex of Hue monuments in 1993.
Vietnam currently has 8 world cultural and natural heritages recognized by UNESCO. In which, there are 5 cultural heritages (the complex of relics of Hue Ancient town Hoi An, My Son temple and tower area, the central relic of Thang Long - Hanoi Imperial Citadel and the Ho Dynasty citadel); 2 natural heritages (Ha Long; National Park Phong Nha - Ke Bang) and a mixed heritage (Trang An Scenic).

Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex is Vietnam's first mixed world heritage recognized by UNESCO in 2014. There are 48 caves here, many of which are 2 km long, connecting 31 lakes and lagoons.
To Trang An, visitors should pass 486 stone steps to go up to Mua Cave to admire the beautiful scenery. From here, you will admire the charming painting of nature, rice fields and boats slowly turning waves on the gentle winding river.
